Short version: This is a free, open-source tool. Use it responsibly. We provide it "as is" with no warranties. Your images stay on your device.
By accessing or using RemoveWatermark.dev (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
RemoveWatermark.dev is a free, open-source web tool that removes the visible sparkle (✨) watermark from images generated by Google Gemini AI. The tool works entirely within your web browser using a mathematical technique called Reverse Alpha Blending.
Key characteristics of the Service:
- All image processing is performed 100% client-side in your browser.
- No images are uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server.
- The Service is provided free of charge with no registration required.
- The tool removes only the visible logo overlay; it does not remove the invisible SynthID watermark embedded by Google DeepMind.
By using this Service, you agree to the following:
- You will use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of processed images complies with applicable copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and the terms of service of the platform that generated them (e.g., Google Gemini).
- You will not use the Service to misrepresent AI-generated content as human-created in contexts where such disclosure is legally or ethically required.
- You will not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
- You will not use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that could degrade performance for other users.
The source code of RemoveWatermark.dev is open source and available on GitHub under its respective license.
The branding, design, logo, and original written content on this website (including blog articles) are the property of Abhin Krishna and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The images you process through this tool remain your property. We claim no ownership or rights over any images uploaded to or processed by the Service.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
- That the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable.
- That any defects in the Service will be corrected.
The watermark removal process uses mathematical approximation. While designed to produce lossless results, we do not guarantee that the output will be identical to the original unwatermarked image under all conditions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer (Abhin Krishna) and any contributors to this project shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
- Service interruption or computer damage.
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service.
- Any claims by third parties related to your use of processed images.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
